Cancellation Policy

You can cancel an ALTE subscription yourself, at any time, without contacting anyone. This page explains how, and exactly when access and data change.

How to cancel

Open Billing in your account and cancel the subscription. You can also cancel from the Stripe customer portal linked there. Cancellation takes effect immediately as an instruction — you do not need to confirm by email, and we do not ask you to call anyone to keep the plan.

When access ends

  • During a trial: no charge is taken. You keep access until the trial end date.
  • On a paid plan: you keep full access until the end of the period you have already paid for. The subscription is not renewed after that. We do not cut access on the day you cancel — you paid for the period, so you get the period.
  • The exact end date is shown in your account as soon as the cancellation is recorded.

What happens to your data

Nothing is deleted at the moment access ends. After the paid period finishes, the workspace moves to a limited state: you can sign in and read and export what you created, but new operations — sending, collecting, generating, publishing — are not available.

We keep workspace data after the subscription ends, with no time limit, so that a returning customer does not lose their work. It is deleted when you ask us to delete it, and not before. Data deletion requests are handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

Coming back

Reactivating a subscription restores the workspace as it was. There is no deadline to miss: we do not delete the workspace while you are away, so it is still there whenever you come back.

Cancellation by ALTE

We may end a subscription where the account breaks the Terms of Use or the Subscription Terms, where sending infrastructure is used in a way that puts third parties or deliverability at risk, or where payment remains outstanding after the grace period. Except where the issue is serious or unlawful, we will tell you what is wrong and give you a chance to fix it first.

Refunds

Cancelling stops future charges. Whether an amount already charged can be returned is a separate question, answered in the Refund Policy.
