The self-service plans of ALTE subscription products — Starter, Growth and Scale — can be tried for 7 days before you pay anything. Enterprise is scoped with ALTE and does not use the standard self-service trial unless agreed separately. This page sets out exactly what the trial includes, when the first charge happens and how to stop it.

Length

The trial runs for 7 calendar days. The count starts when you confirm your card and the trial begins, not when your account is created. Time between signing up and entering a card is not taken out of the trial. The same length applies to every subscription product, so there is one rule to remember rather than one per product.

Card up front, nothing charged

A payment method is collected before the trial starts.
Nothing is charged while the trial is running.
Before you confirm, you are shown the plan, the exact amount of the first charge and the exact date it will be taken.
The same date and amount stay visible inside the product for the whole trial.

What the trial includes

A trial runs on the plan you choose at checkout, not on a stripped-down demo. You run the main workflow end to end, the way you will after the first charge. Two things are held back during the trial: the volume of finished output, and a small number of capabilities that vary by product — typically additional users, additional workspaces, direct API or CRM writing, and automatic publishing. What applies to each product is listed in one place: the table in section 2 of the Subscription Terms. Nothing is limited beyond what that table states.

The trial is meant to show whether the product fits your work. It is not a way to obtain a large volume of output for free, and the volume limit is enforced by the product.

Sending from your own mailbox

Where a product sends email on your behalf, you connect your own domain and mailbox, and live sending is enabled only after a basic check of that domain and mailbox. Your sending reputation stays yours. ALTE does not send your outreach from shared infrastructure.

Reminders before the first charge

We send an email reminder three days and one day before the trial ends, each stating the amount and the date. The product also shows a countdown for the whole trial. You should not be surprised by the first charge.

What happens at the end

If you do nothing, the trial converts to the plan and billing period you selected — monthly or annual — and the first charge is taken on the date shown.
If you cancel before the trial ends, no charge is taken. You keep access until the trial end date, after which the workspace moves to a limited state.
Everything you created during the trial — campaigns, settings, contacts, projects and history — is kept when the trial converts. You do not start again.

AI Lead Qualification works differently

The trial for AI Lead Qualification is a sandbox: test conversations in a demo workspace, with no writing to a production CRM and no messages to real customers. The $2,000 implementation fee is never charged automatically at the end of a sandbox trial. Moving to production is a separate step that you confirm, with its own checkout.

One trial per product

A trial is available once per organisation per product. Repeat trials through additional accounts may be declined.
